PBHL 1300 - Introduction to Public Health

Overview of the field of public health including governmental and nongovernmental health organizations, analytical methods, bio-medical basis, and the behavioral, social and environmental determinants of health. Topics include maternal and child health, the aging population, mental health, infectious and chronic diseases, and public health challenges in the 21st century. Pre-requisite(s): None.
