The Department of Mathematics and Information Sciences educates business computer information systems designers and system analysts for careers in industry and government.
Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Information Technology include the following.
- Hours Required and General/College Requirements: A minimum of 121 semester hours, of which 42 must be advanced, and fulfillment of degree requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
- Professional Program Requirements: See “Professional Program” section of the 2010-2011 Undergraduate Catalog.
- Other Requirements: Academic requirements for graduation with a major in Information Technology for the BA degree:
- A minimum 2.75 grade point average in all hours attempted in the major program course, with minimum grades of C required in each major program course;
- A minimum 2.0 grade point average in all courses completed at UNT Dallas; and
- A grade of C or above in each CSCE course taken in the professional program.
