Information Technology, BA

The Department of Mathematics and Information Sciences educates business computer information systems designers and system analysts for careers in industry and government.

Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Information Technology include the following.

  1. Hours Required and General/College Requirements: A minimum of 121 semester hours, of which 42 must be advanced, and fulfillment of degree requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
  2. Professional Program Requirements: See “Professional Program” section of the 2010-2011 Undergraduate Catalog.
  3. Other Requirements: Academic requirements for graduation with a major in Information Technology for the BA degree:
    1. A minimum 2.75 grade point average in all hours attempted in the major program course, with minimum grades of C required in each major program course;
    2. A minimum 2.0 grade point average in all courses completed at UNT Dallas; and
    3. A grade of C or above in each CSCE course taken in the professional program.
