CJUS 4370 - Advanced Criminalistics I

4370. 3 hours (3;0;0). This course will provide an advanced examination of specified sub-disciplines of criminalistics, including analysis of firearms / tool marks, footwear / tire tread evidence, and bloodstain patterns. This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the scientific method of analysis, the theory of individualization, and the application of critical thinking as applied to these sub-disciplines. Prerequisite(s): CJUS 2100 and CJUS 2302 (formerly CJUS 3300) or equivalents or consent of the instructor. Course Typically Offered: Spring.
