COUN 5640 - Group Play Therapy

5640. 3 hours. Philosophy and rationale for groupwork with children and preadolescents. The focus will be the goals of group play/activity therapy, the role of the play therapist, screening and selection of group members, the use of expressive arts, play, activities at various developmental stages and planning and structuring of sessions. Prerequisite(s): COUN 5700.
