EDSP 2310 - Introduction to Individuals with Disabilities

2310. 3 hours. Explores the topics of disability, the field of special education, and the concept of disabilities across the lifespan of the individual. Also explores the history, etiology, characteristics of specific disabilities categories, educational programming, legal aspects of disabilities, and the impact of disabilities on families. Satisfies a portion of the Component Area Option requirement of the University Core Curriculum.
