Develops a full range of registers including public speaking and formal written discourses (e.g., argumentative essays, close textual readings) necessary to participate in contemporary bilingual communities. Prerequisite(s): Demonstrate native or near-native language ability as defined by results of departmental proficiency exam and/or consent of department. Satisfies a portion of the Component Area Option requirement of the University Core Curriculum.
