Governance

UNT System Board of Regents

The Board of Regents is the governing body of the University of North Texas System, which includes the University of North Texas at Dallas, the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, and the University of North Texas. The Board is composed of nine members who are appointed by the Governor of Texas and confirmed by the Senate. The members are appointed for staggered terms of six years each.

The President is the chief executive officer of the institution and has general authority and responsibility for the administration of the University, subject to the policies and rules of the Board and under the direction of the Chancellor. Assisting the President with these administrative responsibilities is a solid core of experts in the educational arena as well as seasoned business professionals.
